WOYWW - Week 190 (My First Visit)

Good Morning Everyone!
Today I wanted to join in with WOYWW for the very first time! All the details can be found on Julia's blog Stamping Ground. My work desk is in the garage/storage room which over the winter months is so cold that I am struggling to stay in there for long.  On my desk is a card that I am in the process of completing.  I bought some new dies that you can see for a £1 last week. I also got some heart dies, (also very reduced) you can just see the white one which I have die cut.  I am currently using some Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers and buttons will also be added to this card!!

Thanks for stopping by my desk today!x

Vintage Love

Today's card features some beautiful paper from Graphic45.  The paper is double sided and I wanted to use both sides, so used one for the background and the other side to make the flowers.  I stamped the Creative Expressions sentiment in black and added clear embossing powder to give it a shine.  I then die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Floral Ovals and added a small amount of marigold distress ink.
The flowers were die cut using a Joys Crafts flower die and some card candi added  for the centres.

Simple, square card.

I have a small card to show today which was very simple to create.  The centre was made by using blue Brusho paint onto paper, drying it, then I had some textured wallpaper samples to hand, that I applied bleach to and used the wallpaper as a stamp (used a brayer over the top for an ever distribution).  These paints react with the paint to change the colour, mine went light blue, giving a lovely contrast.  This was dried again, then I stamped the sentiment in the corner.  I die cut a Fleur de Lis Square and cut the image to fit within, just highlighting the edges with some black ink.

Vintage Card

Happy New Year Everyone!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.  I have tried to do some crafting over the holiday period, but really struggled - think it might have something to do with the mess my desk is in!
However when I logged on to some challenge websites, I managed to create a card! I am so pleased with the end result!

Quite a simple card using a die cut sheet of decoupage which I have had for ages and matted onto some kraft cardstock.  I used some cream Bazzill Basics papers in my swiss dots embossing folder as a background, then added a sentiment and tied some organza ribbon around the card and into a bow to finish.
